1. Why are you investing your time & expertise in (an) association(s) and its advancement?
Exchanging experiences with colleagues from other countries is very important to me. Associations provide professional platforms to these activities, and they make it possible for experts to meet other members face to face. Founding a new association is a natural development also for science-related organizations to both network and get credibility and influence promoting their policy of responsible research.
2. In your experience, what are the 3 success factors for advancing associations?
Clear vision, eager people, professional communication
3. Has the AM world changed when it comes to diversity and inclusion?
During the last few years, the situation has not changed very much because you always have to deal with different people from different backgrounds.
4. What advice would you give the next generation of association leaders who want to make an impact?
Listen to the members. Use the authority / power you have been given. Be yourself.
